As part of an ongoing effort to elevate the fan experience, Empower Field at Mile High’s food and beverage concepts were upgraded just in time for the 2021-2022 NFL season. JLL’s Sports & Entertainment Development Group managed the construction of the $10 million project on behalf of Aramark, the team’s food and beverage provider.
Working closely with Aramark and the stadium’s preferred vendors, JLL managed the highly complex three-phase project under an aggressive timeline to ensure all upgrades were operational by the start of the NFL season.
The project involved renovations to 28 different food and beverage locations on three levels of the stadium. Meanwhile, the team ensured all technology installations and modified utilities connected seamlessly with the stadium’s existing systems. The result is a truly unique dining experience.
Highlights of the transformation include:
A new food hall concept featuring three restaurants and a full-service premium bar
Nine autonomous markets where fans can enjoy contactless purchasing, powered by artificial intelligence and sensor fusion technology
Redesigned menu boards and reconfigured speed lines
A beer station coined “The Perfect Pour,” where consumers can sidle up to a self-serve, automatic beer tap that always gives the ideal tilt
The modernized experience gives fans more variety while also decreasing wait times. Fans can now get back into their seats faster, so they don’t have to miss the action on the field.
