JLL hires Alison Flynn Gaffney to lead healthcare into the future

CHICAGO, Nov. 8, 2022 – JLL announced today that it has hired Alison Flynn Gaffney, FACHE, as Division President, Healthcare, to lead and evolve JLL’s healthcare business to meet the needs of health systems, hospitals, ambulatory networks and other healthcare providers into the future. She will build upon JLL’s past success to drive growth and position JLL as the leading healthcare real estate and facilities provider.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Flynn Gaffney most recently served as the interim Chief Operating Officer with the University of Utah Health, Hospitals & Clinics, where she had executive and financial oversight for all inpatient and ambulatory operations across the more than $3 billion integrated healthcare system. Gaffney also spearheaded initiatives to support and enhance patient and stakeholder experience and developed a healthcare system master-planning office, as well as led the hospital and clinics teams in the development of multiple facilities expansions, including co-leading a new, more than 1-million-square-foot healthcare and academic campus. When open in 2027, this endeavor will provide an historically marginalized community new access to healthcare, education and professional opportunities.

Flynn Gaffney has held senior operational, consulting and strategic executive-level roles within well-known healthcare organizations. As a founding member of Nexera, Inc., a healthcare consulting company specializing in supply chain cost reduction and management services, she oversaw operations, compliance and strategic planning. She also worked for Giuliani Partners, an international management consulting firm, leading their international healthcare practice.

Flynn Gaffney joins JLL on November 28 and will partner with Jay Johnson, National Practice Leader for JLL’s Healthcare Markets division. Together they will lead JLL's services to the healthcare industry.
