JLL earns 2022 ENERGY STAR® Sustained Excellence Award

CHICAGO, May 11, 2022 – JLL (NYSE: JLL) has received the 2022 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Sustained Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy for continued leadership and superior contributions to ENERGY STAR. This is the 14th year that JLL has been named an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year and the 11th year winning the Sustained Excellence Award.

In September 2020, JLL committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions across all JLL-occupied buildings by 2030, which includes: 371 buildings; 414,610 square meters total floor area; 39,270 tCO2e portfolio carbon emissions; and 98,000 employees as of December 2021. Last year, the firm achieved 390 sustainable building certifications for clients and averted 65,301 metric tons of CO2e by advising clients on renewable energy.

Each year, the ENERGY STAR program honors a group of businesses and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through superior energy achievements. ENERGY STAR award winners lead their industries in the production, sale, and adoption of energy-efficient products, homes, buildings, services, and strategies. These efforts are essential to fighting the climate crisis and protecting public health. The Sustained Excellence award is the highest honor bestowed by the ENERGY STAR program.
