JLL secures leasing and management role for 1550 on the Green

HOUSTON, March 13, 2024 – JLL has been chosen as the exclusive leasing agent and property management service provider for the highly-anticipated 28-story, 375,000-square-foot Discovery Green office tower, 1550 on the Green. Due to current market conditions and capital market constraints, new construction in the CBD is expected to be limited in the foreseeable future. Therefore, 1550 on the Green represents a fleeting opportunity to occupy new construction in the CBD for a prolonged period.
Leading the leasing efforts for 1550 on the Green are JLL’s Tyler Garrett, Managing Director of Houston Agency Leasing, and Chrissy Wilson, Executive Vice President. JLL’s property management efforts will be spearheaded by Connie O’Murray, Managing Director.

Located at 1550 Lamar St., the building is adjacent to Discovery Green Park, providing easy access to downtown Houston’s vibrant retail and restaurant scene, as well as major attractions like the Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park and the George R. Brown Convention Center.
In addition to its strategic location, 1550 on the Green offers multiple levels of outdoor terraces with native plants, a bike storage room, a 7,000-square-foot spa-like fitness center, a 9,400-square-foot tenant-exclusive rooftop event space and conference center, and 7,000 square feet of ground-level retail with over 5,000 square feet of patio directly across from Discovery Green.
Setting a new standard for sustainability in Houston, 1550 is also equipped with cutting-edge technologies and amenities, achieving LEED® Platinum, WELL Platinum and WiredScore® Platinum certifications and is targeting a Fitwel® certification.
The project completed construction in Q1 2024 and is currently offering options ranging from 16,000 to 104,000 square feet for prospective tenants.
